CASTLE ISLAND (6) missed the frame last time when fourth over 1m at Evangeline Downs (Dirt). Prior to that had won two races on end, the last of those at this circuit. Should camp just off the leaders. Sure to be in the finish. RED ROAD (7) was leading on the turn and fought on to finish second over 1m at this track (Turf) at his latest appearance. T G Thornton sticks. Will strip fitter and is one of the big chances. SIMPLEXITY (8) resumes. After filling a minor placing at his only appearance last prep at Evangeline Downs (Dirt) over 1m on April 30. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. MAASAI WARRIOR (1) produced another moderate effort last start when 9 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1m at Evangeline Downs. No surprise to see him in contention.
