PALATIAL PRINCE (1) was well fancied but just missed when resuming over 5f at Goondiwindi, finishing a neck from the winner. Will appreciate the extra ground. Expected to go very well. BEE EXACT (3) showed early speed from an outside draw and held a forward position before fading to finish ninth, beaten 5 lengths, last start over 6f at Ipswich. Likely to measure up. GRAND CRUSADER (2) bounced back last start and got the job done by a nose over 7f at Goondiwindi. Likely to be there at the finish again. RICH AND JOYFUL (5) was last at the races when she finished tenth over 6f at Yarra Valley on December 29. Has switched to the Gilbert Baker stable. Can make her presence felt.
