Race Tip

It was a fierce handicap the Richard Hannon trained PERSICA (2) managed fourth in over 1m2f at Newbury last time. Finished behind the subsequent 2000 Guineas winner at Kempton earlier in the year. The well-balanced colt can handle this tight left-handed track. Previous course winner PORTSMOUTH (8) may remain competitive on the back of a good second tackling soft ground over 1m2f at Goodwood. BLAKE (11) stayed on nicely to win at Sandown and cannot be discounted maintaining a progressive profile. Handicap debutant BUBBLES WONKY (7) looks interesting now significantly up in trip with Buick in the saddle. GOLDEN WEST (3) might also feature.
