DADDY'S QUEST (1) is a five-start maiden who is well and truly overdue, finishing second at this track (Dirt) over 6½f last time out after being in contention on the bend. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. LUCKY'S SNIPER (7) showed good early muster and fought on to finish third last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Ideally placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. WHISKEYONTHEROCKS (5) ran a strong third over 6f at this track (Dirt) two runs back then was below his best last time over 6½f when sixth, beaten 11 lengths. Looks better placed over this shorter trip so worth forgiving. BEAR ENCOUNTER (8) is returning from a lay-off of seven months. Finished eighth at Pleasanton (Dirt) over 6f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Candelario Villamar.
