PURE CANE SUGAR (5) got well back over 1m at Turf Paradise (Turf) last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 11 lengths away in ninth. Manuel Americano gets the best out of this five-year-old gelding. Finds a suitable assignment and can take this out. BRUISER (6) has switched yards since finishing fourth three-and-a-half weeks ago over 1m at Santa Anita. Solid top-three hope. ACERO (8) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 20 lengths away in eighth over 1m1f at Santa Anita. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
