TURN UP THE TREES (3) raced on the speed from the outset last start and finished second, beaten 2.75 lengths, over 6f at Churchill Downs (Dirt). This is an easier assignment and can get the job done. PAYNE (9) started at 9/4 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 2 lengths at Churchill Downs (Dirt) over 6½f. Worth noting Cristian Mauricio Torres goes aboard. Finds a more suitable contest and can turn things around. BALSA (6) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Churchill Downs, beaten 5.5 lengths into eighth. Nicely placed to find some form.
