Race Tip

SIMPLY LUSCIOUS (5) is back from a lay-off of nine weeks. Closed last campaign with a minor placing over 5f at Hanging Rock. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. FACTUALLY (6) has a moderate winning strike-rate but did a good job when returning from a break last time at Yarra Valley, finishing second and only half a length from the winner at the end of 5f after being in the firing line on the bend. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. ALPHA STREET (7) showed early speed from an outside draw last time and led for much of the way before weakening to finish ninth, beaten 8 lengths, over 6¾f at Kingscote. Among the chances. EMMOOKI MAGIC (9) was prominent at the bend and finished second last time over 5½f at Clare when resuming from a lay-off, beaten a nose. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
