REGAL AWARD (18) went forward last start and proved too strong, getting home by 1. 1 lengths over 7f in the G3 Fred Best Classic at this track. Drawn to take a nice trail just off the speed. Taking on a better line-up this time but he has the ability to mix it with them. HEADLEY GRANGE (7) was a narrow winner last time over 6½f in the G1 Kingsford Smith Cup at this track with this rider Adam Hyeronimus aboard. Big weight drop so another big run is on the cards. KING OF ROSEAU (10) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when 15th, beaten 8 lengths, over 6½f in the G1 Kingsford Smith Cup at this track. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves another chance. SPICY MARTINI (16) was unwanted in betting last start but performed beyond expectations when beaten one length into second over 6f in the G1 Doomben 10,000. Taylor Marshall who has scored on her two times retains the mount. One of the better hopes.
