DAGGERS (5) finished off last campaign with a fifth over 6f at Cranbourne on October 10 and has since switched stables. Ran fifth in a trial at Doomben over 5f. Good fresh performer with a win and two minor placings from three runs. Sure to go well. COSMO CENTAURUS (1) returns after a lay-off of four months. Looking to emulate his win at Doomben when returning from a lay-off last prep. Has never tasted defeat when fresh from a lay-off in three attempts. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. ANGEL LADDER (10) turned in a fine effort to win by a nose at this course and distance last start to maintain her good form of late. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. LA BELLA BOOM (12) returns after a 15 months lay-off and looks ready following a Doomben trial win. Facing a tougher assignment but is not to be discounted.
