SHEZADANDI (10) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just three wins from 33 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when seventh over 1m3f at Doomben, beaten 2 lengths. Likely contender with strong prospects. VAGUER (6) finished 2.75 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1m2 1/2f at Gosford two-and-a-half weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Will find this tougher but should be in the finish. PORT MOURANT (9) travelled in a rearwards position then made some inroads and finished 7 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1m1f at this track three weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Settles back early but winds up late. Watch for a big run. CLYDE (2) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 0.7 lengths over 1m3f at Doomben. Well placed to feature in the finish again.
