BLAZING GURU (3) finished 3 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1m1/2f at Cowra two weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. The testing material. Set Weights IFT GUN (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Wagga, beaten 4. 5 lengths into fourth after being prominent at the bend. Nicely placed to get the prize. MIDNIGHT AFFAIR (6) hasn't made an impression lately despite market confidence. Last start could only manage seventh over 1m1/4f at Moruya. Worth another chance. EVER WAS (4) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Orange, finishing third and only 2. 5 lengths from the winner at the end of 1m2 1/2f. Well placed and should be about the mark.
