WANAVAN (6) turned in a strong performance when resuming when in the money at Muswellbrook but disappointed last time when seventh, beaten 9 lengths, at Scone over 5f after being in contention on the bend. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is one of the main contenders. BEST DEFENCE (1) again failed to feature last start, finishing sixth and beaten 2.5 lengths over 4½f at Wellington. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Expecting a bold showing. IMASTATEMENT (11) raced once in the maiden campaign when eighth at this track over 5f back on October 4. Better for that run and can improve sharply. I'M OPINIONATED (10) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a lay-off on 28/01/2025, finishing eighth and beaten 14 lengths over 5½f at Armidale. Looks a strong top-three prospect.
