RIMBAUD (2) showed good early dash before weakening to be beaten 3. 5 lengths into fifth over 6¼f at Canterbury last time out. Sound record at this distance with two wins and five minor placings from nine runs and should be hard to stop. NAVY NINA (10) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by one length over 6f at Sunshine Coast. Open to plenty of improvement and she is a major player again. CHEVALLUM (6) raced on the pace when resuming last start and lifted strongly to hold third, beaten 2 lengths, over this journey at Ipswich. Meets some better types this time but he has the ability to test this field.
