DAGGERS (9) strode forward early from his wide draw last start over 6¾f at Ipswich then fought on gamely to finish third. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again. ROBRICK (10) finished sixth two runs back at Ipswich then improved last time out to score by 2 lengths over 6¾f at Ipswich. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he can go back-to-back. NORTH POLE (3) turned in a modest performance when failed to finish last start over 7f at Sunshine Coast,. That followed a good when resuming win at Gold Coast. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot make amends. JOHN RAMBO (1) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 2. 5 lengths away in seventh over 7f at Sunshine Coast. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
