CAPTAIN MAVERICK (4) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second last start over 1m2 3/4f at Ipswich. In a suitable race and can go on to take this out. OUR TURN NOW (6) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 1m2 3/4f at Ipswich after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Looks well placed so expect another big run. RATTLE AND HUM (1) showed good early speed and raced on the pace when when resuming after a lay-off last start before fading to finish seventh, beaten 6 lengths, over 1m at Eagle Farm. One of the main contenders. THE IRISH (3) won when fresh from a lay-off two runs back then was well in the market last time but could only manage fifth over 1m at Eagle Farm. Should be poised just off the lead. Sure to be thereabouts.
