VERMILION KIRIN (7) built on a nice second two starts back at this track with a win over 1m2 3/4f at Toowoomba three-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 0.8 lengths. Georgina Cartwright scored on him last time and retains the ride. It doesn't get any easier but on current form he is right in contention. SAVANNAH GANGSTER (2) drifted well back last start before storming home to score by one length over 1m at Eagle Farm. Will drift back but should be in the finish again. TAREX (8) proved too strong two runs ago at this track. Couldn't follow that up last time out when 11th over 1m2f at Gatton, beaten 8 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. METCALFE (15) finished second last start over 1m2f at Murwillumbah, beaten 0.6 lengths. Going up a level this time but he has the ability to mix it with them.
