ROSE NOIR (9) turned in a sound effort last time but found a couple better at this track over 5½f, beaten 0.7 lengths. Should be at her peak now. Reunites with Angela Jones which is a proven winning combination. Should be in the finish. WRITTY (13) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 1.1 lengths over 5½f at Ipswich. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Drawn out a bit but she cannot be discounted. RICH MINX (6) is a progressive galloper who is when resuming since finishing eighth over 6f at Toowoomba six months ago. Winner of her most recent trial. Goes well when fresh including a win and one minor placings. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. One of the main contenders. EAGLE HAWK STAR (4) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 0.6 lengths over 5½f at Lismore. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
