MADAME ODETTE (15) turned in a nice effort last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just 0.9 lengths from the winner in second over 1m1/4f at Ipswich. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. RISING PACIFIC (13) finished out of the money two starts back then he got a long way back and was beaten 2.25 lengths when sixth over 1m1/4f at this track a month ago. Finds a tougher race but a big run will not surprise. CINQUE TORRI (9) was in a different class last time with a dominant all-the-way win by 7 lengths at Gold Coast Poly over 7f152yards. Sure to be thereabouts. Group 3 winner DEVASTATE (3) finished 10 lengths back in seventh in stakes company last time over 7½f in the LR Spear Chief Handicap at Eagle Farm. Did win in a by a head at Pukekohe. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Don't underestimate.
