Race Tip

DEL MARO (1) missed the break when an eye-catching runner-up debuting over 1m at Newmarket (July) last month. Trained by Charlie Appleby and could have learnt plenty mentally from that so may go one spot better. MR WONKA (4) might provide the main threat after a pleasing debut fourth over 7f at Sandown. Will appreciate moving up to 1m and warrants respect. Well-bred Wootton Bassett newcomer LYNEHAM (8) was a noted purchase as a yearling at the October Book 1 Yearling Sale. Could do well. NOVA CENTAURI (5) rounds out the shortlist.
