THUNDER RUN (4) is trained by Karl Burke. Caught the eye when fourth in a very competitive handicap over 1m at Ascot during October. Will have been prepared with this in mind ever since. Consider. MIDNIGHT GUN (3) could improve having undergone a gelding operation since his runner-up effort over course and distance at the end of last season. Represents the same top connections as NATIVE WARRIOR (18) who has also been gelded and must be respected racing off 3lb higher than when third in a Royal Ascot handicap last June. ORANDI (19) cannot be disregarded despite carrying a 5lb penalty for winning the Irish equivalent of this race at the Curragh last time. LATTAM (9) is also worth noting.
