Fitter for a fifth in a recent trial over 4f at Devonport Synthetic. Looks set to run well for the new mentor. SOUTH POLE (3) last appeared seven-and-a-half weeks ago over 7f at Camperdown when he finished eighth. This is his first run for the Rowan Hamer stable. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. MISTER MANIHI (2) found the line nicely last start to get up for third over 5f at Hobart when returning from a lay-off. Should park just off the speed. Will give backers a great sight. KLIMENKO (8) is on debut. By Street Boss and is out of the Barry Campbell stable. Proved too sharp in a recent Devonport Synthetic trial. Worth watching for a betting push.
