NOBLE EXCEPTION (14) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 30 starts. Did a good job last start to finish third over 6¾f at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths. In the right race and there is no reason he cannot get the major prize. GEEGEES CITY BOY (1) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 5¾f at this track after being in the firing line on the bend. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. ESPUR (9) made some progress last start to finish eighth over 5½f at Hobart, beaten 3 lengths. Tackles a longer journey this time around and is capable of a top-three finish.
