SECRET TREASURE (3) was in contention on the corner and progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Likely improver with strong prospects. MIDNIGHT ONYX (2) last appeared five-and-a-half weeks ago over 1m at this track when he finished fourth. This is his first run for the A Pecoraro stable. One of the genuine hopes in the race. RUSSIAN HAMMER (6) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just four times from 53 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 1m at this track. Best figures measure up nicely. Makes plenty of appeal. HEAT ALERT (5) finished 16 lengths behind the winner in sixth place when resuming over 5½f last start at this track (Dirt). Generally goes well with that run under the belt. Should be much improved.
