CUT THE CORD (4) was unplaced on turf over 1m at Laurel Turf in a then again couldn't find the top-three on the same surface last time out, finishing fifth over 1m1f at Laurel Turf. Has an impressive strike rate at this distance with three wins from six runs and shapes as a key contender. TAKE THE PLEDGE (5) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m at this track, beaten 2 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a more suitable contest and can take the next step and salute. COLLECTION DAY (9) showed good early speed over 1m1/4f at this track (Dirt) last time and went on to salute by 1. 3 lengths. Good record at this journey with three wins and nine minor placings from 16 starts and is among the main hopes.
