SIR MENDEL (3) built on a nice second two starts back at this track (Dirt) with success as favourite over 6f at this track (Dirt) four weeks ago, getting home by 2.25 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can make it two in succession. PHIL'S ON THE RUN (5) was a gutsy winner last time over 5½f at this track (Dirt), scoring by 1.5 lengths and making it two wins in a row. Rates well and among the chances again. TRUMPET CALL (8) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 3 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6f at this track after being prominent at the turn. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. LOOK SHARP (2) is a five-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Karin Wagner barn. Resumes after filling a minor placing at his latest outing eight months ago at Charles Town (Dirt). Not seen at the trials but looks well placed. Not to be underestimated.
