AL AMEEQ (2) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Parx (Dirt), finishing second and only 2.25 lengths from the winner at the end of 6½f after being in the firing line on the bend. This doesn't look as hard so he is ready to return to the winners' list. LONG ASTRIDE (3) started at 15/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 16 lengths at Laurel (Dirt) over 1m. This doesn't look as hard so he is a major player. SURFBOARD (7) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 26 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 1m1/2f at Monmouth Park. Finds an easier assignment and can salute. UNCLE GEORGY (6) raced below his best last time when sixth over 6f at Laurel (Dirt), beaten 9 lengths. Open to improvement and should be about the money.
