CRABCAKES N BEER (4) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 1m at this track (Dirt) when third, beaten 9 lengths. Sure to take a lot from that hitout so a big run is anticipated. BATTER UP (13) settled well back on debut last start and failed to threaten when sixth over 5½f at Colonial Downs (Dirt). Better for that hitout and is one of the main contenders. SOLEIL VOLANT (8) didn't do a lot on debut three-and-a-half weeks ago, finishing 23 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1m at this track (Dirt). Will take a lot from that experience. Must be respected.
