BOGARTS BUCCHERO (5) progressed nicely last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished 2 lengths from the winner in second over 6f at Santa Anita Turf after being in the firing line on the bend. Meeting a deeper field this time but he has the ability to mix it with them. RUNNING SPARTAN (3) improved last start to finish third over 6f at Santa Anita Turf after being prominent at the bend. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. CAPTAIN SHREVE (8) returns from a lay-off of three-and-a-half months and has his first try on a turf track. Opened last campaign with a second over 6½f at Santa Anita (Dirt). Should be poised just off the lead. One of the main contenders. FUZZY STARE (7) has been freshened up since a disappointing seventh four weeks ago over 1m at Churchill Downs (Dirt). Should improve and worth considering.
