BAG'S GOLD (8) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner when when resuming last start over 5½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Sure to derive great benefit from that run. Ready to go one better. HALO UNCLE (4) sat on the pace and stuck on well to score by 0.3 lengths at this track and trip last start to maintain his good form of late. Looks well placed so expect another big run. HOWBEIT (2) is putting together some solid results. Finished second at Los Alamitos (Dirt) two starts back then landed the prize by 1.3 lengths as public elect last time out over 6½f at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Meets a stronger field but he is good enough to figure in the finish. BLUE CHEESE OLIVE (5) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 1.3 lengths back in fourth over 6f at this track (Dirt). Can figure in the finish.
