NAUVOO (2) hit the frame two starts ago at Los Alamitos but ran below par last time when tenth and beaten 11 lengths over 1m at this track (Turf). Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. Group 2 placegetter TAISHAN (4) has registered two minor placings from three runs this campaign. Continued the trend last start when runner-up over 1m at this track (Dirt) after he was handy all the way. Looks well placed so expect another big run. MOBOU (5) finished sixth last start, beaten 18 lengths, over 1m at this track. Has never been out of the money in three starts at this trip, including two wins. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. One of the main contenders. SOUL OF MIDNIGHT (6) is a strong fresh performer back after a break of ten weeks and looking to emulate his win at Santa Anita to kick off the last campaign. Worth plenty of thought.
