CANADA BAY (4) resumes from a lay-off of 11 weeks and is having her outing under new trainer Tommy Logan. Finished seventh at Beaumont (Newcastle) over 5¾f at the opening run last time in work. Can make an immediate impact for the new mentor. STARS THE LIMIT (7) made a nice return last time out to finish second and beaten only 0.8 lengths over this course and distance. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Best form puts him right in this. KARATEMISS (5) is a five-year-old mare who is having her first run for the Philip Cole yard. Hasn't raced since finishing seventh at Yarra Valley four months ago. Not seen at the trials but looks well placed. Expected to be in the finish. LORD FENRIR (6) is back at the races for the first time since December 1. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at this track. Can make his presence felt.
