JOLLY JAPES (8) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 1. 75 lengths away in third over 6f at Sunshine Coast when she was in the firing line all the way. Tackling a more suitable race so she is one of the main contenders. OFFSIDE (9) is a two-start maiden who finished fourth, beaten 3. 5 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Toowoomba. Can come on from that run and looks a serious contender. BON ICHI (2) is a five-start maiden who could only manage to finish fourth after being in contention on the bend at his latest appearance over 7½f at Kilcoy. Finds the right race and is worth consideration. BOOMTOWN LADDIE (3) finished 6 lengths adrift in sixth last time over 1m1/2f at Ipswich in a disappointing performance. Has his share of ability and can do a lot better.
