LONESOME STAR (5) finished out of the money on debut two starts back then was beaten 8 lengths when fourth over 5f at Toowoomba a week-and-a-half ago after being in the firing line on the corner. Nicely placed to break the maiden status. TOSCANELLA (8) wasn't far away on debut last start over 4f at Ipswich, finishing sixth and beaten 5. 5 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement.
