KOBE ASCOT (3) made progress last time out, finishing 2.5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 5¼f at Rockhampton. Likely improver with strong prospects. FANCI FLEUR (5) is yet to break through after four career starts. Could only manage to finish seventh last time out over 4f at Ipswich following a minor placing at Warwick when fresh from a lay-off the run prior. Should be in the mix. CORVALIST (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5½f at Toowoomba, beaten 15 lengths into eighth. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. FOR THE BRAVE (6) resumes after seven months and looks forward enough following a comfortable Toowoomba trial win. Has a high cruising speed. Must be respected.
