THE SHAMAN (2) did a great job to score by a nose over this course and distance last start in a much improved run. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is capable of another big performance. MISHANI PERSUASION (14) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 7f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is one of the key runners. PREVARICATE (9) wound up strongly in the run home last start to register an impressive win over 6½f at Armidale. Has been in sound form this prep with a win and four minor placings from six outings. Should be involved in the finish. PAUJI POWER (7) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1m at Queanbeyan. Solid top-three prospects.
