OVIDIUS (6) finished just 0.7 lengths from the winner in third last start over 5½f at Gatton after racing in the leading division. Drawn to enjoy a lovely run again. Montanna Savva gets the best out of this six-year-old gelding. Ideally placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. CRACKER ESSGEE (9) was in the firing line on the turn and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 6f at Sunshine Coast after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. TARA JASMINE (7) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when 12th, beaten 8 lengths, over 7f in the LR XXXX Sunshine Coast Cup. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. NED'S GULLY (4) resumed over 5f and turned in a fair run to finish eighth at Sunshine Coast. Has won when racing second up and rates a definite each-way hope.
