Form of the G1 2000 Guineas is usually reliable in the Irish equivalent and GSTAAD (5) is the one to beat. No match for a brilliant opponent however was well clear of the rest. The leading Aidan O'Brien contender also boasts the best of two-year-old form and could prove hard to beat. DISTANT STORM (3) did well at Newmarket 8L behind the main selection when third. He deserves respect and might progress. ALPARSLAN (1) avoided the Classic but won the G3 Greenham Stakes last month. Rates a key player now tried at G1 level. Managing a 2000 Guineas fifth THESECRETADVERSARY (10) is an each-way chance. POWER BLUE (8) looks best of the rest.
