LUVYA MUMMA (2) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race when fresh from a lay-off last time out, finishing second and beaten only 1. 75 lengths over 7f58yards at Kyneton after being prominent at the bend. Beautifully placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. ALGADON STORM (6) started at 11/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 5. 5 lengths at Echuca over 1m. Taking on a better line-up this time but she deserves another chance. QUEEN BEIRA (1) finished out of the money two starts back then she was always well out of her ground and was beaten 6 lengths when sixth in a 7½f contest at this track a week ago. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. HERE COMES RUBY (3) resumed over 7¼f at Tatura where she showed little early speed but got home nicely to finish fifth, beaten 4. 5 lengths. One to watch for in the concluding stages.
