ST EDWARD (3) returns to his home track after a fair run in town last time when fourth in the G3 Red Anchor Stakes at Moonee Valley. Should park just off the speed. Among the leading chances. MONGOLIAN GOBI (5) was responsible for a solid effort last time out when second at Bendigo over 6½f, beaten half a length. Should be at his peak now. Has been in sound form this prep with a win and two minor placings from four outings. Bold showing expected. MALDINI (8) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Pakenham over 7f. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is good enough to take this out. CAFFETTIERA (7) showed good early speed and raced just off the lead before lifting to score by one length over 6f at Mornington last start. Cannot be underestimated.
