OCTRAIN (2) resumed three-and-a-half weeks ago over 5f at Sale and was only beaten 1. 3 lengths into fourth after being prominent at the bend. Likely improver with strong prospects. FUROSSHI (6) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished third at Bendigo two starts back then got the job done by a nose last time out over 5f at Seymour. Nicely placed to make it two on the bounce. KA YING LUCKY (1) settled well back and never threatened when 11th over 4¾f at Moonee Valley last time out. Has the class to take this out. DEMARCATE (9) returns from a lay-off of four months and did score when resuming when last in work at Ballarat over 5f. Lines up for the first time for the Ben, Will & Jd Hayes stable. Fitter for a minor placing in a recent Flemington trial.
