THE JESTER'S SON (2) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at Pakenham but raced below expectations last time over 7½f at Caulfield Heath, finishing eighth and beaten 3.5 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. SPEAK (5) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race when fresh from a lay-off last time out, finishing third and beaten only 2.5 lengths over 7½f at Caulfield Heath when she worked home well. Ideally placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. MIXXIT (6) registered his first win last start over 1m at Moe, getting home by 1.75 lengths. This is tougher but he is capable of another big run. HANAFUBUKI (4) closed last campaign with back-to-back placings, the last of which was at Flemington five-and-a-half months ago. Backmarker who gets home hard. Will be doing her best work late.
