KOOKY (8) is a four-start maiden who has been in the money two times. Could only manage fourth at the latest appearance over 1m at Pakenham. Has a good record at this distance with two top-three results from three starts. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Best figures should see her run well. BEURRE ROUGE (10) is a promising type who was in the placings on debut before a fourth last time over 6f at Sandown-Lakeside. Going well and is sure to measure up. POSEIDON'S SON (6) returned last time with a solid second at Ararat over 6½f after being in the firing line on the turn. Steps up a level but he is up to the task. NIGHT PEOPLE (4) resumes from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 7f at this track. Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
