HILL COUNTRY (4) is a five-start maiden who could only manage to finish sixth after being in the firing line on the bend at his latest appearance over 1m1f at this track (Turf). Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. WHALEAXE (7) did little and finished 13 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1m at Colonial Downs Inner Turf last start, a less impressive effort than his when resuming fifth at Monmouth Park Turf the run before. Has the ability to figure prominently. MY PAL BILL (1) settled well back from the inside draw last start before coming home nicely to finish 6 lengths away in fourth over 1m at Colonial Downs Inner Turf (Turf). Will be putting in the big strides late. GOVERNOR DUTTON (12) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 11 lengths into seventh over 5½f at Colonial Downs. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.
