DETERRENT (5) faced the starter for the first time last start and was just fair in finishing fifth at Laurel (Turf) over 1m1/2f, beaten 4 lengths. Fitter and with the blinkers added is expected to be in the finish. PICO PLAT (6) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1m at this track after being prominent at the turn. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. GRAMPS (2) was always well back on debut last start and made no impression, finishing eighth over 1m at this track (Turf). Likely to improve on that last effort. MCZ (7) went forward over 6f at this track (Dirt) on debut last start but found a couple better. Must be respected.
