PICAROON (5) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1m1/2f at Warrnambool after being in contention on the corner. Tackling a deeper field this time but she is worth serious consideration. THUNDER POINT (6) ran below expectations last time after being prominent on the turn at Warrnambool, finishing fifth and beaten 14 lengths starting at 5/1. Linda Meech gets the best out of this seven-year-old gelding. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. RHINOCEROS (2) showed good early dash and stalked the pace last start before drawing clear to score by 1.3 lengths over 1m at Camperdown. Bold showing expected again. When resuming over 1m at sandown-lakeside, beaten 6 lengths. Should run well.
