SOLAR POWER (7) is coming along nicely this prep. Finished eighth when fresh from a lay-off two starts back at Port Macquarie then improved and scored over 7½f at Port Macquarie two weeks ago, getting home by 1. 5 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Likely to be there at the finish again. SUPREME COMMAND (3) made a strong late bid only to just miss last start over 6½f at Newcastle. Should be near his peak for this. Ideally placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. CHANGE THE DATE (4) finished eighth last start over 1m1/4f at Doomben after racing on the pace for much of the way. Solid top-three claims. CLYDE (1) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fifth at Warwick Farm over 1m after racing in the leading division. In the right race and should be thereabouts.
