VENCE (5) kicked off this campaign with a win two runs ago. Not as effective last time out when ninth over 1m at Scone, beaten 8 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. SHALAMIYNA (7) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 2.75 lengths over 6¼f at Taree. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and she cannot be underestimated. MEGHAN (8) is ticking along okay with two runs this time in. Improved last time out when fifth, beaten 3 lengths, at Port Macquarie over 6f. Looms as a genuine contender.
