SERENADE THE CAT (7) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when seventh in a 1m1/4f contest at Doomben four weeks ago. Has the class to find the winners' list. FRIEND IN NEED (8) drifted well back last start before storming home to score by a head over 6½f at Ballina. Solid top-three prospects.
