MOSGIEL DAISY (8) wound up strongly last time out to finish 0.9 lengths adrift in third over 6¼f at Taree when fresh from a break. Settles back early but winds up late. Will be tough to hold out. TAKING THE MIKKI (12) finds it hard to win with three victories from 30 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when sixth over 5½f at Port Macquarie, beaten 2.5 lengths. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. THE WOLF (1) did little and finished 7 lengths from the winner in seventh over 7f at Lismore last start after being in the firing line on the turn, a less impressive effort than his sixth at Gold Coast the run before. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is one of the main contenders. CRITICAL TIME (3) ran fourth at his latest appearance over 6¼f at Ballina, clocking in 2.2.5 lengths from the winner as favourite. Should be involved in the finish.
