RYAN'S ROCKET (1) was disappointing in the G2 Persian War Novices Hurdle at this venue on return pulling too hard. Plenty of scope now sent chasing and the form of his Kempton novices hurdle victory last season suggests this mark could be within range. Dropping back to 2m on handicap debut to suit. WESTERN GENERAL (2) won nicely over fences at Newton Abbot after a wind-operation. May remain competitive off a 9lb higher rating. Down in class HASTHING (3) looks interesting off this mark delivering initial chase outing. JUST OVER LAND (4) cannot be dismissed after following home a useful performer making first fences start at Ffos Las.
